We have chosen to breed a limited number of ewes in the fall of '11 for the 2012 lamb season. We have spread out lambs to arrive in two groups, mid-late March and also mid/late April.
It's hard to believe we are preparing already for breeding groups! Our current flock still hovers at just over 100+ sheep and we are making some sale decisions with regards to lambs from the 2011 season. We still have a few under evaluation so, when checking the lamb pages, feel free to ask about any sheep being available (unless otherwise marked).

We plan to use five(5) rams on a few select ewes to help keep our numbers in check. Our planned breeding line-up is listed below and includes Painted Rock Max, Neverwinter Brahm, Harshberger's Lincoln, St. Jude's Tevan and Painted Rock Major. As usual, Painted Rock Jasper has already made his presence 'known' in the ewe flock by an over night? escapade so and will see what Spring may bring! And, we may opt to use Iram instead of one of the rams noted below, pending our request list.

ALL our rams have a quiet, laid back temperament and we expect that trait to pass along to the lambs produced. We strive for even tempered sheep, meeting or exceeding the breed standard's. We offer a registration guarantee on our Jacob sheep and also provide shepherd support following all sales. Our goal is maintain a sound, genetically diverse flock. We concentrate on a all-around, balanced animal, not just horn number. Excellent quality fleeces and sound horns are expected and temperament means a great deal to our flock. Feel free to ask about details on STARTER FLOCKS!
